OUR LADY OF
AMERICA - NEWSLETTER
January 15, 2007
Feast of
St. Paul the Hermit
"Who is She who comes
forth like the morning rising,
fair as the Moon, bright as the Sun,
terrible as an army set in battle array?"
[Song of Solomon 6:10]

Our Lady of

This apostolate has asked the
well respected law firm of Ice Miller, LLP to
research the validity of claims by Patricia Fuller a/k/a Sister M. Joseph
Therese that she alone controls all things concerning Our Lady of America. Mr. Michael
Swift, Partner at Ice Miller LLP, in a letter sent today to Bishop Leonard
Blair of the Diocese of Toledo, issued an opinion
that those messages given by the Blessed Virgin Mary under
the title of Our Lady of America to Sister Mary Ephrem and as approved
by Monsignor Paul F. Leibold and many of the other historical devotionals are in
the public domain. Because the messages are in the public domain,
anyone can copy the messages and distribute such copies to the
faithful.
As indicated on her website and in
other correspondence, Patricia Fuller has claimed: "I want for the faithful
to know that the Only authentic source of information about Our Lady of America
or the writings of Sister Mildred Neuzil come from the Our Lady of Nativity
Convent and the Our Lady of America Center in Fostoria, Ohio." The
research and opinion of Ice Miller LLP indicates that this claim is simply
inaccurate.
Furthermore, the messages themselves indicate that the
bishops are the ones who are responsible for the promotion of this devotion
to Our Lady of America. (See:
January 1957; August 22, 1957; February 23, 1959)
This is a great
day for this devotion to Our Lady of America! It appears
that erroneous assertion by Patricia Fuller may have held back
the wide distribution of the messages for many years. We urge the
Christian faithful, with all deliberate speed, to make this devotion known
by as many persons as possible and to respond to Our Lady's call
for Purity. Each and every one of the Faithful may freely spread these
approved messages from the Blessed Virgin Mary.
This apostolate is making
Holy Cards and Message books available to all, free of charge. These new
devotionals, without copyright notices, are currently being printed
and will start shipping near the end of January.
Meanwhile, you
may download all of the messages and holy card and start printing them
at home or at the neighborhood printer, making them available free of charge or
a free will offering only. Please join us in this work of Our Lady.
Remember, only publish and distribute the messages that are approved by
Monsignor Paul F. Leibold. Any changes to the messages
would not have proper Church approval. This includes the
addition of any messages that have been presented as received after the
death in 1972 of Monsignor Paul F. Leibold.
We make holy cards
available free of charge to anyone who has the ability to distribute them to
groups. Make your request for
your free Holy Cards by clicking
here.
